The Great Copper River Valley
The Caribou Hotel & Restaurant is located in Glennallen, Alaska. At the intersection of Glenn and Richardson Highways, Glennallen is a modest town that serves as a gateway to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park – the largest national park in America.
This major road crossing is where you’ll find banks, grocery stores, doctors and mechanics – and a hub of activities throughout the enchanting Copper River Valley.
The Caribou Hotel & Restaurant is also a jumping off point for a variety of activities on Prince William Sound. The two-and-a-half-hour drive to Valdez features spectacular waterfalls and wildlife – with plenty of stops for a postcard-worthy photo.
Out of Valdez, the terminus of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, you’ll be able to take a cruise to the Columbia Glacier or take a fishing charter for salmon or halibut. Keep a watchful eye for whales, otters and other sea life. In the winter, ice climbers and skiers from all over the world compete in a variety of events.
In the midst of stunning scenery, endless activities and friendly locals lies a modern Alaskan hotel waiting for you at the end of a perfect day.
